Many Data East machines suffer from significant background buzzing and humming coming through the speakers.
While there are several sources of the background buzz, the most common cause seems to be noise on the 12V power line feeding the sound board.
The DBB001 Data East Buzz Buster helps resolve this by adding an inline 12V switching power supply to provide a smooth 12V specifically for the sound board.
The DBB001 Buzz Buster doesn’t address the other sources of noise so it doesn’t help in all cases.
However, it is effective on reducing background noise for the majority of games and makes the games more enjoyable!
